Monday, July 13, 2015, Evening Tour of Neve Zedek (all registered participants are invited to join)
Directly after sessions at Beit Dagan, take the shuttle to Tel Aviv. Buses will stop near the David Intercontinental Hotel. Meet guides for a walking tour of the neighborhood of Neve Tzedek, which is one of the first neighborhoods built in the “new” city of Tel Aviv, back in 1887. Early in the 20th century, Neve Tzedek was the home for many artists and writers. Proceed to Rothschild Boulevard, which was built in 1910 and was initially called Rehov HaAm, "street of the people”. Many of the historic buildings were built in the eclectic and Bauhaus Architectural styles, forming part of the White City of Tel Aviv. Duration of the tour is approximately 1.5 hours and at the end of the tour return to your hotels on your own and/or enjoy the neighborhood bars and cafes that the city offers.
Tuesday, July 14, Conference Dinner (optional)
